Who we are

This website is operated by the Christian Foundation for Jerusalem (“CFJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Illinois. CFJ advances communication about the needs of the Holy Land and solicits donations on behalf of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

What personal data we collect and why

Donations

When you make a donation through this site, our donation form (powered by GiveWP) collects your name, email address, and billing details necessary to process the transaction. Payment card information is entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment form and is never stored on our servers. We retain donor and donation records for as long as necessary to fulfill our obligations to you (such as providing tax receipts) and as required by law, including recordkeeping requirements that apply to 501(c)(3) organizations.

Newsletter sign-up

This site has a newsletter sign-up form. As of this writing, that form is not yet connected to an email service, and no data is currently collected or stored through it. This policy will be updated before that feature goes live.

Comments

Comments are disabled on this site. We do not collect data through a commenting system.

Who we share your data with

• Stripe (payment processing) — handles your payment details directly and maintains its own privacy policy and security standards.
• GiveWP (donation plugin) — processes donation data within our own WordPress installation; it is not transmitted to GiveWP’s company servers as part of core functionality.
• Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) — provides the server infrastructure this site runs on, but does not access your data for its own purposes.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Where your data is sent

This website’s server is located in the United States. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or elsewhere outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where we rely on service providers such as Stripe to process data on our behalf, those providers maintain their own safeguards for international data transfers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
